Comprehensive studies in the Arabic language for students at all levels from beginners to the advanced. This course forms the backbone of all other Islamic sciences.
This branch of Islamic sciences specialises in the principles of understanding and commentating on the Holy Qur'an in order to derive benefit from it in our time.
Allah Almighty has stated in the Qur'an, "He is the One Who sent a (Glorious) Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) among the illiterate people from among themselves who recites to them His Revelations and cleanses and purifies them (outwardly and inwardly) and teaches them the Book and Wisdom. Indeed they were in open error before (his most welcome arrival) [52:2]." In addition Allah has mentioned on more than one occasion, " O Believers! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger [4:59, 5:92]." It is therefore essential to understand the rich and intricate science of Hadith in order to benefit from the Sunnah of the Prophet(SAW) and so that we may attain nearness to the Prophet(SAW). Our hadith course covers the principles of hadith science and its application.
Covers the principles related to beliefs as derived from the Qur'an and Hadith. Our course covers classical texts such 'The creed of Imaam al-Tahawi' and modern texts covering the differences of opinion in beliefs held by Muslims today.
No Islamic studies are complete without a deep understanding of the sources, application and rules of the law of Almighty Allah. Imaam Abu Hanifa said, "Whoever learns hadith without fiqh is like the pharmacist that assembles medicine without knowing which applies to what until the physician comes. Thus remains the student of hadith, he does not know the application of his hadith until the Faqih (the Jurist) comes." The Farghana institute provides studies in Islamic Jurisprudence which not only impart the laws of Islam related to our everyday lives but also makes the student aware of the principles involved in deriving the rules and the proofs of each of the laws.
An often neglected branch of study of which Imaam Shafi'i said "Be both a jurist and a sufi - never just one of the two." Our 'Uloom al-Tasawwuf course covers the history and principles of Islamic Spirituality and details practical methodologies which students can easily implement.
In the face of challenges faced by the modern world many Institutions of old have crippled under the pressure and have not been able to provide students with the necessary tools to face the challenges head-on. Our modern sciences course will give the student an understanding of modern issues and demonstrate the practical and theoretical application of each of the classical branches of knowledge in relation to these issues.
