Shaykh Muhammad Ramadan Al-Qadri addresses students of JMU
Shaykh Muhammad Ramadan Al-Qadri, the Principal of Farghana Institute was specially invited to lecture the students of Liverpool John Moores University. The event organised by Liverpool University Islamic society took place on February 4th 2010 in the main University Lecture Theatre. Zaigham Khan, Joint secretary and MYL UK and Vackas Khan, MYL UK were amongst the visiting delegation.
The seminar entitled, ‘The Beginning of Creation’ began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, after which the main guest of the evening, Shaykh Muhammad Ramadan Al-Qadri was called to deliver the main speech.
The Shaykh spoke on different phases of time. He spoke about the phase when the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) was created; he spoke about the phase of time when Adam (a.s) was created and the phases when the Heavens and the Earth were created. He spoke expertly on the belief that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) was the first of creation, if it was not for him then there would have been no creation, whilst mentioning and analysing the Hadith in relation to this subject: “Time as a phase started from Adam (a.s) but was perfected by the Holy Prophet (s.a.w)”. The Shaykh also mentioned the importance of having control over time and not letting time have control over us.
After the conclusion of the main speech the Q&A session began, where various questions were asked.
The Shaykh thanked the participants for their feedback and comments, and the lecture was concluded with a prayer.
